After breakfast, travel through the scenic Apennine Mountains to the Adriatic coast. First stop is the 11th-century San Giovanni in Venere Abbey — a serene place of medieval roots built over an ancient Roman temple. Then wander through the peaceful seaside town of Termoli with its fortified old town and Romanesque cathedral. In the afternoon, continue on to Bari — a bustling port city with narrow lanes, historic churches, and a charming, lively old town. Overnight in Bari.

We hug the coast for a beautiful day of discovery. In Brindisi you’ll stroll along the sea and check out the Roman column that marks the old harbour. Next, it’s on to Lecce — sometimes called the “Florence of the South” for its stunning baroque buildings and ornate churches. In the afternoon, head to Gallipoli, a historic town on the Ionian Sea whose ancient streets and seaside charm are a mix of Greek, Arab and Norman influences. By evening return to Brindisi for a well-earned rest.

Today visit Alberobello, famous for its unique trulli — cone-roofed, stone houses that sparkle with tradition and charm. Then, visit the ancient city of Matera, with its rock-cut dwellings known as the “Sassi.” It’s one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited places — a real time capsule. After lunch, continue on to Naples, arriving in the evening. You’ll have some free time to soak up the vibe of one of Europe’s oldest cities.

Catch the ferry from Naples over to dreamy Capri — take the funicular up to Capri town, wander around, and enjoy the views. In the afternoon, journey to Sorrento — a postcard-perfect town perched on cliffs above the sea — happy to offer free time for wandering. Later, move on to Salerno to spend the night.

Travel through the scenic Tyrrhenian coast and pass the lush landscapes of the Cilento National Park. Stop in Paola to explore the Sanctuary of St. Francis and enjoy lunch in its quaint center. Then cross over (by ferry) to Sicily, arriving via Messina — a city with a beautiful old center and a peaceful vibe. From there, head to Taormina for dinner and overnight stay.

Relax in Taormina, a gem nestled by Mount Etna. Spend time immersing yourself in its picturesque old town, enjoy the coastal atmosphere — maybe even check out the sea or just enjoy some Sicilian la dolce vita. Dinner included.

After breakfast, head to Catania — a city alive with history, baroque architecture, and a lively market near the foot of Mount Etna. Then travel to the majestic island-town of Syracuse. Explore the ancient old quarter of Ortigia, with its narrow streets, seaside charm, and historical vibes. Continue inland to Agrigento; along the way enjoy views of the imposing Valley of the Temples, one of the most extraordinary archaeological sites — dinner included.

Start with a guided visit to the famous Valley of the Temples — a stunning archaeological site with well-preserved Greek ruins. From there, drive to Marsala, known for its unique wines.Then travel past the salt pans to Erice — a hilltop town full of charm, with sea views and timeless atmosphere. Finally, reach Palermo, where you overnight. Dinner included.

After breakfast, head to Monreale to visit its breathtaking Arab-Norman cathedral — famous for beautiful golden mosaics. Back in Palermo, enjoy some free time exploring this historic and vibrant city with contrasting layers of history and architecture. Late in the afternoon, board a night ferry to Naples; accommodations will be in double cabins, a cozy way to travel overnight.

Arrive in Naples early, then journey to Pompeii to explore the ruins of the ancient city buried by Mount Vesuvius — a powerful, unforgettable reminder of history (guided tour and entrance included). Afterward, free time in Naples, one of Europe’s oldest living cities with a historic center full of energy and heritage. Later, head back to Rome to wrap up your journey.
